Why am I running for Government

Because I miss Alaska.

I believe that the United States of America is a Capitalist Democratic Republic.  That means the citizens are free to live their lives as they see fit provided they allow others to do the same.  The primary role of the government is to protect individual rights and the private property of the citizens.  Everything else is secondary to that responsiblility. 

If that were the case I would be living in my happy little patch of the world.  Since I have been watching all levels of government trample the United States Constitution repeatedly, I feel it necessary to do something.  Against my better judgement, I am running because I feel we need a change in our government.

I would like it to bring attention to the website at the top of the page.  Hopefully this will bring a new Crime Lab to Alaska.

My friend Karen Foster's daughter was murdered many years ago. The local authorities called it an accident.  At great cost to Karen, she pursued this tragedy to insure all the correct things were accomplished.  Almost two decades later a man is being tried for her daughter's murder.  She has endured more than any parent should have to go through and a new Alaska Crime Lab could prevent that from happening to anyone else. 

I cannot imagine what Della Brown's last thoughts were when she was bound, beaten, raped, and left to die here in Anchorage.  But I think a crime lab, Could have helped the government prevent nurse Mindy's violent death.

Please write your local, state, and federal representatives and ask them to work for an Alaskan Crime Lab.

If I flip flop on issues, it is because I listen to people and they have shown me the light.  I have my own views on most subjects, but an elected offical must put aside his personal views because he is working for his constitutents.
