Personal Stuff
I was Born in La Grande, Oregon and lived in Northeast Oregon around Joseph. My dad was a logger and moved us to Southeast Alaska when I was nine. I attended most of junior high in a logging camp on the west coast of Prince of Wales Island and attended high school in Ketchikan.
I joined the Alaska Army National Guard at 17 and started to work Ketchikan Pulp Company at 18. I worked there for a little over ten years until I started working full time for the Alaska Army National Guard in Anchorage in 1985.
After retiring from the Guard in 1994, I returned to Ketchikan to manage an equipment supply store and purchased a chain saw shop. Then the forest got shut down and I started working on airplanes.
I returned to Anchorage in 2000 and continued to work on aircraft. I work on all shapes and sizes of aircraft and have an Inspection Authority.
